According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, officers responded around 4:40 a.m. to reports of a disturbance in Hanover, a community located outside Baltimore. When authorities arrived, they encountered a large crowd dispersing from the area and discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where officials said his injuries were not considered life-threatening.
As investigators began examining the scene, additional victims connected to the incident started arriving at hospitals across the region. Police later learned that five more individuals had sought medical treatment for gunshot injuries at three separate medical facilities.
The additional victims included two juvenile males who sustained gunshot wounds to their lower extremities, an adult woman with an injury to an extremity, and another adult man and woman who were also wounded in the lower body.
Authorities reported that all six victims are expected to survive.
Detectives are interviewing those involved and gathering evidence to determine exactly what happened and whether multiple shooters or suspects may have been involved. No arrests have been announced, and investigators have not yet released details about a possible motive.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department said the case remains under active investigation and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
